This is life

For the first time I'm feeling the calmness of eliminating the chaotic world from my life.
"Virgos are often called the control freaks of the Zodiac. They usually invent a world and live in it."
ZodiacFacts on Twitter.
That's exactly what I'm doing now - inventing a peaceful world and living in it.

Fruit tea at a restaurant in Sunway Pyramid.
Those things in the cup are fruit cubes.

One thing that isn't very good about living in the world of my very own innocent creation is, becoming disconnected with the real world. While filtering information - whether or not they are to be accepted into my world - some very important happenings (the country, the world, whatever) are often rejected. In short, I hadn't been reading the papers much, sadly.

It's definitely not a good sign for a person who's about to step into the society. So I decided to build windows in my world, where I can open them to take in some information about what's going on in the outside world.

I love collecting little stickers like these. This Korean characters sticker set is a present my Korean teacher brought from Korea.
I it!

Living in my own little world has made life happier though. It's a world of red apples, ripe cherries, and all the beautiful stuff which I like (like in the song in 'The Sound of Music').

I've been enjoying my classes. Not very stressful, and every session brought happiness.

Last month, on the 22nd, the article I wrote on suicides was published on a newspaper. I can't quite remember what other blissful things happened that day, but I recall the 22nd of February as a very productive and joyful day. Yesterday, I received a letter from the newspaper's office informing me to collect the payment for my published article at the HQ.

It wasn't a lot of money but it was more than what I personally got for the second prize my reportage received at our senior's graduation last year. Odd I don't feel happy, but it sure was a bit of spice to my life and experience.

Yesterday, a high school friend had dropped by and we went out for breakfast together. Other than the usual talk about life and society, we'd discussed about her assignment on Photo Journalism. That was basically the main reason she'd dropped by, to get some ideas for the piece of work. I love how friends from the similar course of different colleges get together to share/exchange knowledge.

Anyway, I guess I've said enough. Before ending this post, I'd like to express my sympathy for the victims of the recent Japanese earthquake and Tsunami. I won't say I've prayed for them, but I'm definitely thinking of donating my quilt to spread some warmth. Honest.

A set lunch I've tried out a few days back.
I know how lucky I am and I'm truly grateful.

May the world be in peace. The end of the world mustn't come so soon.

Till then. Stay well!
