In-class Movie: Identity

Had our third in-class movie session today. I honestly never thought we'd have in-class movie as a psychology student. I thought studying broadcasting at college was rewarding already, but apparently the movie sessions I've had at uni was way more satisfying than what I had back at college.

As we're learning about abnormal behaviours, the movie we watched today was about abnormal behaviour, or multiple personality disorder, to be exact.

Identity (2003). Probably some of you have seen it before, but I was too young back then to have watched it, and too ignorant to have noticed it any time later. I searched the plot online before going for class, just so I know what to expect. It was psychological horror-mystery, according to Wikipedia. But I think the correct term would be thriller instead of horror. Or they did mean for it to be horror. I didn't sense any supernatural stuff in the film, though.

It was good. Scary and bloody, but good. I wasn't really afraid just by watching the movie, but the sudden high-pitch screaming of the course mates did shock me so much that I literally jumped from my chair (Gee, girls.. As if I'm not one of them).

I enjoyed the movie, but at first I thought I wouldn't want to watch it again. Yet, now I'm tempted to have another go! haha.. I love mystery films!

I also think the course mates were so smart to have dropped by Pyramid before class to grab some popcorns to go with the movie. These people really know the way to enjoy! I bet not many of them actually finished their popcorns anyway. They were apparently, too busy watching people die - in the movie. ahaa

Anyway, if you have not watched it, it's worth a try. Don't blame me if you don't like it though. I have weird taste for films.

Have a good day!
