On November 14th, I've sent some support to Thailand to help their flood victims.
Unlike the time we sent stuff to Japan, this time I did it from the comfort of my home (so you can tell I don't have photos to share). It is actually because we were told that there was still transportation problems at Thailand and sending goods wouldn't be quite appropriate as they might not reach the intended area. So, we(mum and two of her friends, bro and I) decided to send them financial support instead.
And so we did!
I didn't take photos of the donation form or the cheque we sent, so that explains why we don't have photos this time. I was actually quite eager to send goods because I'd love to have photos taken as remembrance of our effort in helping our neighbouring country. But since they'd prefer financial help, I shall just put this meaningful act in words in my memory.
I didn't donate much, but it was the most among five of us. Then, I was joking about how I originally saved the money to buy some stuff I desired, yet now even before using them to get what I wanted, I had sent them off to save people instead. Haaa.. That wasn't a lot of what I saved up and giving away the amount definitely doesn't matter much. I can still buy what I intended to get, but I felt good for sacrificing part of what I want so a few other people can get what they need. :)
Anyway, that's about our second act of helping a disaster-hit country this year. It's good to help, but it'd be great if there weren't many needy; because that means less people are suffering! ♥ :)
