A Text Message

It's father's day today, and I received a text message from someone I least expected to hear from. (Weird, eh? For me to say I've received a text instead of sending one to wish my dad or other dads out there a happy day.)

Since it's a Sunday, mum and I went to the PLKN camp in Sepang to visit bro. We were enjoying KFC in the camp's hall, and my hands were oily when my phone suddenly beeped. I thought it was going to be Maxis or some random advertisement message, so I didn't bother checking- my hands were 'busy' at that time, anyway.

After finishing our 'oily chickeney lunch', we talked to bro and he told us about his life in the camp for the past week (we visit him every Sunday, so it's a weekly update). I was just listening to his stories and I totally forgotten to check my phone.

When I finally did, I was shocked to see the name on the screen, and the content.

I don't quite know where he is at this moment, and it was when I saw the text that I suddenly recalled that he'll be departing for Philippines this month, to coach their national team. I felt sorry seeing the text, while I'm definitely touched and thankful for it at the same time.

I'll remember the time when we first met in 2007, and the time we spent working together. In many occasions, I wouldn't have been as successful as I managed to be if it wasn't for him. I'm truly thankful for everything he's done for me and for us- Solibad.

I replied him, wished him all the best and a happy Father's Day.

In a few years, I hope, we'll see badminton players from the Philippines make their names big. That'll show people what this coach has got. :)
