A few days ago, I came cross Lee Yong Dae's life motto, which eventually sorta helped me to sit for today's test without being too paranoid about not studying much. Apparently, he's life motto is what I recognised as a quote by Confucius: 진인사 대천명 (尽人事,待天命); probably something like 'Try your best and let God do the rest' in English.
An injured Sayaka Sato in tears, and Tine Baun's understanding hug of comfort. True sportsmanship. Heart-breaking, though. This actually reminded me of Peter Gade and Lee Chong Wei in this year's Thomas Cup in May. Check the very last photo HERE, in case you can't recall. |
I don't care about what's already happened. That's very wise indeed. What's the use of commenting and criticising when it's already happened? It's more important to pay attention to what's about to come in the future. Dang. He should have said it earlier. That way, I probably wouldn't have spent so much time talking about the incident, and I'd have had more time to prepare for my test. But oh well, good enough.
At least these two sayings of his has allowed me to feel less heart-broken when he and Jung Jae Sung lost to Denmark's Boe/Mogensen in the semi-finals.
Touching. Will they be able to win Europe's second Olympic Badminton gold in history? Not easy perhaps, but I sure hope so. |
It was a good match, from the Danes (I kinda felt Jung/Lee wasn't really at their best), but Lee Yong Dae, Jung Jae Sung, their coach Kang Kyung Jin, and probably the whole Korean team must be disappointed. That last crucial point was missed by Lee Yong Dae, and people say he must have been hurt and mad at himself, but I hope he'll get over it really quickly. No use fretting over what's already happened, isn't it?
Rest well, and focus on your game tomorrow to win that bronze. At least it's an Olympic medal for Jung Jae Sung before he retires.
hahaha. This is funny! Lin Dan's part was the best. Go Dato'. Time to win that gold, retire, get married and live happily ever after. :D |
Love the meme!
