Viktor Ahn (or Victor An - as seen on Sochi 2014's official site) won a bronze medal in the Sochi Olympics' short track men's 1500m, and a gold medal in the men's 1000m. He's probably hoping to get another medal at the men's 500m.

Victor (also known as Ahn Hyun Soo) won three golds and a bronze for Korea at the 2006 Winter Olympics. He later went to Russia, and was awarded Russian citizenship. Victor has been representing the Russian short track team since then.
After reading up on his story about why he left Korea and went to Russia to continue his career, I seriously felt that we should never take anything for granted. Yes - not even the rewards we get for doing something good, or from others repaying us for our favour.

People reward us for the good we've done, but I guess it's good to remember that they can always not reward us for that. I mean, why would/should they? Especially when we are of no use anymore to them. If they reward, we're lucky; if not, I guess that's understandable. So if they do reward us, we should not take it for granted, like 'of course they'd do that for me, considering how much I've done for them in the past'.
No, they can always just leave you alone. Be thankful.

P.S.
Yes, I'm back. I hope this will not be my only post after a long hiatus, but who knows.
